Maria Goitia and her family, Venezuelan asylum-seekers in Chicago, celebrated their first Thanksgiving and expressed gratitude for the support they have received in the city.

They met with Hope Vaughn, one of the people they first met when they arrived in Chicago, and cooked their first-ever Thanksgiving dinner to share with other migrants and volunteers at St. Agatha Catholic Church.
